Don't Miss It!
UPWARD GOING STRONG
The Martin Bluff Church campus is teeming with energy every Saturday morning from 8 until 10 AM. Upward Flag Football and Cheerleading is going very well and is serving as a platform through which we are connecting with many families in our community. The three pillars of Upward: 1) Self-esteem, 2) Character, and 3) Salvation.
40 DAYS 0F COMMUNITY – Oct 15th thru Nov 19th
Through 40 Days of Purpose we answered the question “What on earth am I here for?” The 40 Days of Community is a 40 Day spiritual campaign designed to answer the question, “What on earth are WE here for?” We are better together! The church has the awesome responsibility and privilege of communicating the life-changing grace of Christ to the world! The 40 Days campaign begins Sunday, October 15th.
The campaign has three major components:
40 days of devotional readings from the “one another” passages of the New Testament,
6 Small Group Studies based on 1 Corinthians 13,
6 Sunday morning sermons and worship experiences designed to introduce the truth the we worship, serve, grow, fellowship, and share better together!
If you are not serving as host or small group facilitator, then join a small group. Everyone should plan to participate. This is a church-wide campaign. You can sign-up by clicking here: 40 DAYS SIGN-UP.
FALL FEST
We are planning to host our annual Fall Fest community outreach on Tuesday, October 31st from 6-8PM. Our Fall Fest is a safe, fun alternative to Halloween through which we share the life-changing love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ with our community.
BUILDING FOR HIS FUTURE
Plan to take a walk around the construction site Sunday after worship. Steve Fineburg and Jim Welsh will be available after both services to show you the progress. It is exciting to see the new worship center continue to take shape. Thank you for your generous and sacrificial giving. Your giving is more important than ever!
WELCOME/INFORMATION SHED
God continues to send the kids! What an opportunity to shape the hearts and minds of tomorrow’s leaders with the Truth. The safety of our children is very important to us, so we register and name tag every child. The registration process will take place in the “Welcome Shed.” You will not be able to miss the shed – it will be located between the new and existing worship centers.
We need you to help with the kids. We need Preschool TLC and extended session leaders. We also need Kingdom Kids leaders. Please email Linda Crigler if you’d like to serve in Preschool ministry, mamacrig@hotmail.com. Email Lana Watts if you’d like to serve in Kingdom Kids, watt3102@bellsouth.net.
TWO SERVICES
We began two Sunday morning worship services in September. We need you to begin worshipping at the 8:30 Service if possible. We’re out of room at the 10:30 service and this is the service time through which we minister to our younger families and in which we have the opportunity to connect with first time guests. Thank you for your willingness to accommodate the growth. The best is yet to come!
INVITE A FRIEND
God is doing an exciting work in and through us. Be generous with what He is doing. Invite a friend to worship and TLC. Begin praying about who you will ask to join you for 40 Days of Community.
ANGER
Sunday, I’ll be talking about Winning the Battle with Anger!
See you Soon,
Eric

The Cornerstone is Poured!
The Building for HIS Future construction project is in full swing. In December of 2004 the people of Martin Bluff Baptist Church resolved to build a worldclass facility in which worldclass Christians will be equipped to positively impact Hickory Hills and beyond with the life-transforming Good News of Jesus Christ. On Friday, March 17th, 2006 the concrete foundation work for the 15,000 sqaure foot structure was begun. The foundation and footings will require approximately 400 yards of cement (almost 60 truck loads)! Together we achieve far more for His glory!
