  • About Us

Our Mission:

To turn Seekers of God into Servants of Jesus.

Our Vision:

Our vision is to be a servant church family witnessing to God’s love through Jesus Christ and ministering to the needs of people within and outside the church. We will be a church instructed by the Scripture, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, with effective ministries to all people of every age and culture in Gautier, our surrounding communities, and beyond. We will be a church that takes the risks God expects in order to fulfill His plan for us.

Our Ministry Philosophy:

The Members of MBBC are a fellowship of committed believers. We desire to reach people of all ages with the Good News of Jesus Christ. (The Good News: Jesus loves you! He died for your sins, and desires a relationship with you. You must believe, confess your sins, and ask for forgiveness and you will be saved by His grace.) We desire to provide meaningful worship, fellowship, teaching, modeling, and service opportunities for seekers and believers.

Our philosophy of ministry is derived from the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-39) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) of Jesus Christ.

The Great Commandment:

Matthew 22:37-40 (NLT) [37] Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.' [38] This is the first and greatest commandment. [39] A second is equally important: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' [40] All the other commandments and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments."

The Great Commission:

Matthew 28:19-20 (NLT) [19] Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. [20] Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

Our philosophy of ministry demands a commitment to disciple-making. This consists of evangelizing to the lost (Telling others about Jesus and His forgiveness), recognizing and developing the gifts of the Holy Spirit present in every believer for worship, teaching, preaching, modeling, prayer, missions, compassion, and fellowship. The members of Martin Bluff Church are committed to being a Christian witness in and beyond the Hickory Hills community.

Our Purpose:

We exist to make fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ who . . .

• Express love to God through worship.

• Bring the lost to Him for salvation.

• Join the membership of His church for true community.

• Engage in a process of developing Christ in self and others.

• Serve one another and the community in His name.
